Purpose statement

After the horrid COVID 19 experience, we had a terrible time of restarting our Programs up again and most of our Directors had left the organisation in any case. We made the decision to wind down but would continue with the existing Programs for the benefit of the Youth on the Sunshine Coast for those students who needed further assistance or needed help transitioning to another Youth charity being our main benefactor of the Not for Profit groups of the Teens Take Control and the Maroochydore Surf Life Saving Club. Teens Take Control continued with the Mechanical Workshops Training for our students to attain their Cert 111 in Mechanical Engineering. Additionally, our highly successful Surf Awareness Program at the local Surf Club continued with all our volunteer staff assisting the Youth of the Sunshine Coast. We continued with assisting a limited number of homeless youth as far as we could but the reality of an imminent closure was made clear to all who attended and we assisted where we could especially in the area of giving a feeling of self worth and dignity. This Year, we primarily concentrated on a gradual close down of all Programs but still managed to treat our youth with respect and dedication for their transition to Teens Take Control.
