Purpose statement

We supported vulnerable children (particularly those in government care / foster care and adoptive families), and their carers, families and guardians, by: - providing support, training and resources to carers, families and guardians of these children, and the children in their care, with particular emphasis on trauma informed care, practices and parenting; - recruiting potential carers to provide homes for children through foster care or adoption, and referring them to agencies - providing information to professionals and the community on supporting these children and trauma support; - encouraging and educating people to provide all children in need with access to a safe, nurturing and stable family environment to grow up in; - providing practical supports such as backpacks with essentials for children entering foster care.
