Purpose statement

Satsang Oceania focused on promoting religious growth through the dissemination of spiritual teachings and the philosophy of the contemporary spiritual leader, philosopher, and guide, Sree Sree Thakur Anukulchandra. To fulfill these objectives, we implemented the following initiatives: We organized both online and in-person spiritual gatherings (Satsang) every weekend aimed at enhancing the spiritual and physical well-being of participants. Approximately 25-30 families from various states throughout Australia engaged in each Satsang session and experienced its benefits. Furthermore, we held monthly online spiritual gatherings specifically for mothers. Recognizing the vital role women play in nurturing their families and raising children, we emphasized the importance of ideal teachings in fostering responsible future citizens. Sree Sree Thakur's teachings on the behavior of mothers in both family and community contexts were shared during these gatherings, enlightening the women involved about their roles. Monthly children's Satsangs were also held to explore the teachings of Sree Sree Thakur Anukulchandra, thereby strengthening their spiritual upbringing to help develop them into better citizens. On July 8, 2023, we celebrated the 135th Holy Birth Anniversary of Sree Sree Thakur Anukulchandra in Brisbane, drawing a spiritually enthusiastic crowd of 120 participants for the day-long event. Satsang Oceania marked the 136th Holy Birth Anniversary of Sree Sree Thakur Anukulchandra across different locations in Australia and New Zealand. These day-long events included various Satsang activities such as prayers, readings from sacred texts, holy songs, and presentations by children, mothers, and brothers. The anniversary celebrations took place at the following locations: Sydney on September 23, 2023, with 150 attendees. Adelaide on October 7, 2023, featuring 130 participants from diverse communities. Melbourne on November 25, 2023, which saw an attendance of 130. New Zealand on March 16, 2024, with 70 participants. Perth on May 4, 2024, attended by 130 individuals. We also took part in the Diwali celebrations in Adelaide, fostering cultural exchange with fellow South Australians and reinforcing Australia's multicultural spirit. Additionally, Satsang Oceania through its active volunteers initiated a "Soup Kitchen" service in Melbourne and Sydney, providing free hot vegetarian meals to approximately 70 individuals in the community, including those experiencing homelessness, each month.
