The charity continued operating in accordance with its primary objectives of protecting and enhancing the natural environment and wildlife, including responding to severe environmental conditions. The Australia Zoo Wildlife Hospital is the primary project of the charity and operates one of the world's largest and busiest purpose-built animal hospitals. It plays a vital role in attending to and saving injured Australian native species; and it has continued to lead the way in wildlife care with 11,263 admissions during the 2023/24 year.
